An Awesome Camper with a Fabulous Solar Install!
This camper combines superior quality and workmanship, light weight (~4500 pounds), and affordability. Triple bunks convert to a garage for bikes or small toys, and the dinette is spacious and comfortable. Black tank and shower have never been used. Tons of storage inside and out, convertible walk-around queen bed/sofa, second Fantastic vent fan above rear bunks, and super-insulated walls/ceilings/floors (“4-Season Package”). LED lighting, USB charging ports, and 12 volt outlets abound. We think this is the best trailer in its class. Sleeps 7.
Advanced RV Service (Newbury Park, California) installed 300 watts of Renogy Eclipse solar panels on the roof and upgraded the batteries to two Lifeline 6 volt batteries for 220 amp-hours of storage. The batteries are charged with a Victron MPPT 100/50 charge controller and monitored with a Victron BMV-700, both with smartphone monitoring via Bluetooth. Includes a 600 watt Xantrex inverter for powering/charging laptops and running small appliances (think immersion blender).
Here in sunny California, we can use lights all evening, charge our phones and tablet, and run the fans overnight and the batteries will charge to 100% by mid-morning the next day.
We removed the flimsy queen-size mattress included with the camper, and instead used our own folding futon (not included).
Toilet has been removed (we used a portable camp toilet, not included).
Front folding step is functional, but was dinged slightly by an errant sidewalk curb.
The camper has a repair appointment scheduled at the Lance factory in Lancaster, CA on May 28th, 2019 (this is covered under the warranty since the issue occurred during the warranty period). This will take a day or two while technicians repair the bottom of the slide (which is still fully functional).
Awning is worn and has a few micro-tears, but is functional and all of the mechanicals are in good working order.
We ordered the camper with an additional large cabinet instead of a microwave.
We are selling this camper because we wanted a larger rig, but we will be very sad to say goodbye and hope that its future owners enjoy it as much as we have.
